I have a professional practice in Cork City, along Western Road. The location of the practice guarantees privacy, discretion, a secure holding environment and a high level of service for all clients.
During my time as a counsellor and psychotherapist, I have earned a reputation of being able to provide an atmosphere of safety, respect and strong holding for clients to overcome difficulties and make changes in their lives.
I am an accredited humanistic and integrative counsellor & psychotherapist. This approach means I can offer you flexibility and I tailor the counselling and psychotherapy that is most appropriate for each individual client.
A variety of concepts, theories and techniques from a number of approaches in psychotherapy are incorporated into my work. But above all else, I believe in empowering the individual to find healing, knowledge and wisdom within themselves. I work from the fundamental belief that you are the expert about you, your life and experience. You are the one who knows what’s best for you.
My primary role as a counsellor/psychotherapist is to listen to you, help you to recognise, articulate and explore situations and feelings in a non-judgemental way in a safe and confidential setting. Our work will involve facilitating you and supporting you through your journey of exploration and any changes you wish to make in your life.
I possess a post-graduate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) from University College Cork (UCC).
I am currently pursuing professional post-graduate studies in Mindfulness.
